Pegasus Thruster is proud to welcome the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department: Metro Dive Team and Seattle Fire Department as the newest members of the Pegasus Thruster Family.President Marissa Wiganowske stated that after participating in various test dives, both agencies became aware of how much the “hands-free” Thruster decreased air consumption and increased bottom time, thus allowing divers to sweep a significantly larger target area in half the time. These Departments are using the Pegasus Thruster Package, which contains the Unit, extra Battery, & custom Pelican Case.Pegasus Manufacturing Inc. provides an extended one-year warranty to government agencies.

Pegasus Thrusters are made of aircraft grade materials, 6061 T6 hard-anodized aluminum casings that are marine sealed with PA 45 high-impact plastic shrouds and propellers. With a dry weight of 13 lbs and underwater weight of -5 lbs, the speed varies to 2.5 knots depending on the individual diver and equipment dynamics. The Unit is rated to 400 feet and each one is pressure tested to 250 feet before leaving the factory. The Nickel Metal Hydride Battery (NiMH) will last for 35-45 minutes of continuous use, or considerably longer when pulsed on and off through the use of the single button trigger switch. The Unit operates using a 12-volt high torque DC motor with batteries that are wet pluggable for those looking to change out the power supply underwater.

Pegasus Thruster has grown to be the world leader in fixed mounted high-performance underwater diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs).For more information about Pegasus Thruster, contact the Headquarters at or +1 305 989
